It is time to address buying local and why to do it.
On Kauai, I have noticed that folks are real quick to send our money out of state. We don't think twice when we order from Amazon or Ebay. Well... it is time to think about it now.
JGB Arms, LLC is just one of the three guns shops on the island of Kauai. In fact, we are the only one with dedicated hours and a steady stream of supplies in stock. Something you don't know... JGB Arms, LLC is managed by a group of folks that full time jobs else where, our workers are volunteers and nearly all the profits (hard to donate Decembers profits because the month is so volatile) is spent locally on Kauai to develop and maintain public shooting opportunities for you all.
What does this mean??
JGB Arms, LLC is the only shop on Kauai using nearly every dollar of its profits to develop legal shooting opportunities for the public. We currently have a outdoor shooting facility (public facing / member only) and just have started plans for an indoor facility.
JGB Arms, LLC has extremely competitive prices since no one is counting on the income.
JGB Arms, LLC may close its doors and managing members take up a new hobby if we don't feel the community is interested.
If you are going to spend you hard earned money somewhere anyway, spend it local so we can invest local. Sports Authority took your money and ran. Amazon and Ebay aren't here investing in our communities. So if you feel its no big deal to buy from elsewhere you also fell it is no big deal if there is no where to shoot on Kauai. You won't feel it is a big deal when the only way to get a pistol permit is wait months for the State program to have a vacancy. You won't feel it is a big deal when the only way to buy ammo for your guns is travel off island.
There is a reason why we hold the market majority. We are shooters ourselves and like deals just as much as the next guy. We work hard to get our goods at reasonable prices for ourselves which means you get a piece of that action. As enthusiasts we feel an obligation to share our knowledge with others. We are dedicated to preventing the state from restricting gun owners and provide a private training program. Lastly we love shooting and are always looking for buddies to shoot with. Why not take advantage of this?
